Will it run on a laptop?
Players on the Steam forums who report crashes on mid-range laptops find they happen at specific moments: a restocker starting work, flipping the Open sign, paying an employee. That makes them bugs, not hardware limits, and lowering graphics does not stop them. The fixes are on the known issues page. One player reported the mouse judders when looking toward the sun even at a locked 120 FPS.
Graphics and display settings
- Windowed and borderless modes; the "fullscreen" option is actually borderless windowed.
- V-sync is on by default. 60 and 120 FPS both work.
- Field of view slider, added in Hotfix 1.0.2 after launch-week motion-sickness complaints.
- No HDR, ray tracing, DLSS/FSR upscaling or frame generation.
- Separate volume sliders. There is no spoken dialogue, so there are no subtitles.
Controls, key remapping and the missing invert-mouse option are on the controls page. Where the settings and saves are stored is on the save file page.
Steam Deck
Valve has not rated Anime Shop Simulator for Steam Deck (compatibility: Unknown as of Sep 14, 2026). One player reports it runs on a Deck with a controller layout, but saves do not carry over from PC because Steam Cloud is not syncing yet.
